"A native Californian, I returned to Del Mar in the early 70’s to a wonderful world of art classes and garage sales.  After more than 35 years as a Scientific Illustrator I am now in partial retirement and able to spend considerably more time on my own art.  Surprisingly, science seems to be finding its way back into my personal art on a regular basis.  My art is exhibited at numerous national venues and galleries.

I have been creating art since acquiring my first box of crayons and it has been evolving ever since.  An eternal student, I find the more art I produce, the more my art changes and it has traversed most of the fiber arts, almost all arts involving water media and 3-D constructions.  I am firmly rooted in the technical aspects of whatever media I am working in and am very much aware that the journey is the objective.  One of the quotes that seem to keep finding it’s way into my psyche (and my sketchbooks) is one from Chuck Close: Inspiration is for amateurs. Professionals show up and do their work. "
