" My work has always been an exploration of color and texture, starting with graduate work in ceramics and mixed media constructions. This focus is continued in my current work with fibers. The dying process creates a personal palette from which to choose when composing. Stitching, both hand and machine, is used to create a variety of textures. These colors and textures are integrated into abstract compositions to communicate with the viewer. I am currently working on a body of abstract work which blends my love of color with the expression of a feeling, idea or sensation. "
