I have been sewing in one form or another for many years--since Jr. High when Home Economics was still taught in school.  I love to create clothing that is one of a kind, unique and dramatic.  Several of my costumes have won awards;  that was long before the discovery of quilting. The colors and textures of this particular medium draw me even more than all the embroidery I've done; crocheting; knitting, and calligraphy.  It blends the passion of each of these worlds  for me; mixing the media of everyday objects, fabric, and graphic images has taught me to see the world in a new light.  I enjoy the challenge of blending my calligraphic art into the fabric medium and creating images that are more in depth and, paradoxically, more ethereal than just pen and ink on paper.
