Artist Statement
I like to play with colors and textures, using a variety of media; mixing fabrics, threads, yarns, paints, and pencils. I like to “break” the rules and not follow written directions (the reason why traditional quilting never really inspired me.) I like designing and creating stories for the viewer to explore and interpret in their own individual ways. Drawing the human form has always been major focus for me. I use both real people and photographs for my inspirations.
