Creative expression has been my lifelong passion. That followed through during my education in the fine arts, and into my professional life. In the early 1990's, influenced by my Mother's handwork, I began to explore quilt making. Longing to widen the horizons from traditional forms, I soon realized I could blend painting and printmaking skills with quilting in my work. This meshing made a natural transition to fiber arts becoming my chosen medium with its wonderful graphic and textural potential.
I am inspired by natural forces, such water, fire and sun. Also drawn to the play of opposing energies, I find beauty in the balance between dynamic movement and meditative stillness. The imagery coming out from this inspiration I flesh out with vibrant color and texture. The creative process nourishes me through a journey of discovery.
My work is exhibited nationally in solo and group shows at venues including the Museum of Ventura County, American Quilter's Society, Los Angeles Municipal Art Gallery, Avenue 50 Gallery, and Santa Cruz Art League.
